Board of Directors' Meeting
January 17, 2006

President Janice
Wright called the meeting to order at 4:30 PM.
Minutes of the November
9th meeting were unanimously approved, as written.
Treasurer’s
Report was presented by Roger Liu.
New Board members
were welcomed: Carmen Hagloch, Helen MacNeil, Nate Sparks
Committee Reports:
- Newsletter - Joann Allin remains chair. The first
newsletter of the year is planned for February.
- Nominating Committee - David Andrew remains chair.
Three new board members are being sought. David thanked Lynnette Char,
Diana Snyder and Victor Lim for their service. Judy Fadrowsky/President
and Roger Liu/Treasurer and were elected by the Board.
- Membership Dues – Donna Ashley has accepted
the chair. 2006 was a milestone year for membership with 516 homes
registered in our association – a gain of 22 homes from 2004.
- Decals – Sandra Kingery remains chair. Current
color of the decal is navy blue. This is year 2 of a three year cycle
for the navy blue decal. All other decals are outdated.
- Web Page – Carmen Hagloch has accepted the
chair. Updates should be appearing soon.
- Information Dissemination – Helen MacNeil
has accepted the chair. WIRCA covenants and restrictions will be put
on the website for ease of access.
- Security – Ginger Plash remains chair. Many
residents provided our security guards with gifts this past holiday
season. They were very appreciative.
- Database – Nate Sparks has accepted the chair.
The homeowner database will continue to be updated with new residents
for communication and security purposes.
- Public Affairs and Liaison to Neighborhood Board
– Jack Schneider remains chair. Pot holes continue to concern
neighborhoods. Laukahi is scheduled to be repaved in the 2007-2008
timeframe.
- Social – Diana Snyder reported the annual
dinner was a success. Everyone enjoyed the music and meeting new neighbors.
- Zone Captains – Marilyn Haine is co-chair.
Marilyn will work closely with Nate to coordinate getting the new
homeowner information packet out to new residents.
- By-laws and Parliamentary Procedure – Janice
Wright has accepted the chair. Proposed amendment to Article IV meetings
“Board members are expected to attend meetings and will be encouraged
by the President to resign after three absences during one year”
was approved.
- Traffic Calming – Carmen Hagloch has accepted
the chair. Informative articles will be posted in the newsletter.
- Streets and Sidewalks – Lisa Iwata has accepted
the chair. Information regarding reporting abandoned vehicles will
be made available.
New
Business:
- Letter addressing view channel violations is being
completed.
- A recommendation to ask WIRCA Zone Captains to assist
with a local book drive was not approved. The Board agreed that the
purpose of WIRCA as stated in the By-laws and the job description
of the Zone Captains is to focus solely on the WIRCA community.
President Fadrowsky adjourned the meeting at 5:35 PM.
